Den Building – Thursday 6th July 2017, 10:30am
Venue – Victoria Park, 19 Park Street, Inverleigh.
Cost – $15 per family (regardless of number of children)
This is a multi-age event – we will have a smaller cubby town for the younger children + playmats, as well as larger building material (branches/palings etc) for older children.
Please BYO Picnic rug, drink bottles, snacks and lunch, weather appropriate clothing and footwear.
Den building is an important part of children’s imaginative and creative play. It reinforces their sense of self and can provide privacy and a dedicated play space.
We will provide a collection of loose parts (branches, blankets & hessian) sign making & bunting making materials and a venue for children to make cubbies, hide-y holes and play spaces.
We will also offer natural materials for children to make their own face paint!
We look forward to seeing you there!

Children must be accompanied by an adult and remain in their care for the duration of the session.

Planting for Bees
Sunday 6th August 2017, 11:00am ($30 per family)
We loved this workshop so much last year that we can’t wait to offer it again.
This is a hands on all-age workshop where we talk about the importance of bees in our gardens and in the food production cycle
We will spend time making seed bombs, bee baths, finding out what flowers and plants attract bees, looking at honey comb and brood comb.
We will learn how to identify drones, juveniles, foragers and the queen bee and… have a little bit of taste testing 🙂
You will come away from the workshop ready to get out into the garden and create biodiversity corridors in your local area.
All materials supplied.
